patch_tester.sh (usage): Watermark is not lexicographic.

* patch_tester.sh (usage): Watermark is not lexicographic.
Load $STATE/defaults if it exists.
(selfexec): Use $0.
(apply_patch): Handle deletions.
(bootntest): Handle default settings.
