* gdb/sid connect fix, etc.

2001-08-29  Frank Ch. Eigler  <fche@redhat.com>

        * config/sid.exp (sid_start): Never set sid verbosity; disable
        expect_background {} that consumed its stdout; tolerate </dev/null.
        Attempt to set endianness override in "sid" protocol mode.  Cleanup.
