The Linux variant of GCC has no need of defining "i386", so it doesn't.

The Linux variant of GCC has no need of defining "i386", so it doesn't.

That renders this test ineffective and the "defined( i386 )" remains
unaltered by fixinc.  This test is now, generally, a noop.
