From 0c71313970be3d097814839577cd141d46666783 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Brian Paul Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2009 21:48:54 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] gallium: fix register clobber bug in TGSI->PPC codegen When negating a src vector that's stored in a altivec register, need to put negated value into a new register so we don't upset the original value. This solves the dark colors in the mandelbrot GLSL demo. Also, use new predicate functions to check if a TGSI temp is stored in an altivec register. --- src/gallium/auxiliary/tgsi/tgsi_ppc.c | 51 +++++++++++++++++++++------ 1 file changed, 41 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/gallium/auxiliary/tgsi/tgsi_ppc.c b/src/gallium/auxiliary/tgsi/tgsi_ppc.c index 1a265047389..af180adbedc 100644 --- a/src/gallium/auxiliary/tgsi/tgsi_ppc.c +++ b/src/gallium/auxiliary/tgsi/tgsi_ppc.c @@ -78,7 +78,7 @@ const float ppc_builtin_constants[] ALIGN16_ATTRIB = { * How many TGSI temps should be implemented with real PPC vector registers * rather than memory. */ -#define MAX_PPC_TEMPS 4 +#define MAX_PPC_TEMPS 3 struct reg_chan_vec @@ -157,6 +157,29 @@ init_gen_context(struct gen_context *gen, struct ppc_function *func) } +/** + * Is the given TGSI register stored as a real PPC vector register? + */ +static boolean +is_ppc_vec_temporary(const struct tgsi_full_src_register *reg) +{ + return (reg->SrcRegister.File == TGSI_FILE_TEMPORARY && + reg->SrcRegister.Index < MAX_PPC_TEMPS); +} + + +/** + * Is the given TGSI register stored as a real PPC vector register? + */ +static boolean +is_ppc_vec_temporary_dst(const struct tgsi_full_dst_register *reg) +{ + return (reg->DstRegister.File == TGSI_FILE_TEMPORARY && + reg->DstRegister.Index < MAX_PPC_TEMPS); +} + + + /** * All PPC vector load/store instructions form an effective address * by adding the contents of two registers.
